It’s that time of year in April when we’d usually be flocking to Tilburg, a city in the south of The Netherlands that’s the spiritual home to a festival that’s close to all of our hearts, Roadburn. I don’t need to bang on to as to why we’ve all been living in our ‘lounge wear’ for the last year, so let’s look at the here and now as Walter and co refused to take this year’s festivities being cancelled lying down, and last night they launched Roadburn Redux.
Over the weekend, the streaming platform will host commissioned sets, live recordings from the 013, exclusive premieres and real time chat, so head over to roadburnredux.com and join in. Don’t worry if you miss anything as all streams will be available on demand over the next few days.
And would Roadburn be Roadburn Redux without a fanzine? Hell no, so in celebration of this virtual world, we’ll be bringing you three issues of Weirdo Canyon Dispatch, and this year with it being digital only, its in colour for the first time! Issue #1 is out now as a PDF featuring insane artwork from CAVUM, an interview with Neptunian Maximalism, a special welcome to Roadburn Redux from the editor and thoughts on a year without live music. Download it straight to your screen from the link below, and if you’re feeling old-school you can even print it out.
And don’t forget all past issues of Weirdo Canyon Dispatch are archived over on weirdocanyondispatch.com.
Stay tuned as Issue #2 will be out tomorrow.
