Video Premiere: Doors To No Where ‘Lie, Lie, Lie’ – Taken From ‘Darkness Falls’ That’s Out Now

Back on the 21st May this year, the Santa Cruz stoner metal and punk trio that is Doors To No Where released their fourth album Darkness Falls through Albuquerque’s Desert Records to critical acclaim. Now today, we at The Shaman are elated to bring you the video for the near four-minute thumper of a track Lie, Lie, Lie.

Doors To No Where

Josh in his review of Darkness Falls says Lie, Lie, Lie is ‘A fast pace song throughout that does slow down a little for a very melodic solo only to end strong’ then adds ‘It also sets the stage for an album that will take you through a journey of genres and influences’. As for the video, it was filmed at Doors To No Where jam space by Guerin Myall, founder of Totally Tubular Magazine, who also incorporated archive surf and skateboard footage that was captured in and around the bands hometown of Santa Cruz.

Guitarist/vocalist Marc Lewis comments, ‘We all grew up surfing and on skateboards so this just felt right to us. Surfing and skating are part of our DNA.  The ocean also means so much to us. It’s a never-ending source of inspiration, power, beauty and a way of healing. Santa Cruz has a long history of music being connected with the surf and skate scene. Especially punk rock. They go hand and hand and create a subculture. Talking bands like Bl’ast!, Lost Cause, Mock, Live Wire, Seized up and Furry 66.’
