Through The Lens: EyeHateGod / Church Of Misery / Under @ Rebellion, Manchester, 14th Aug 2023
The godfathers of sludge EyeHateGod hit the Rebellion in Manchester on the 14th August dragging with them Japan’s stoner doom pioneers Church Of Misery, whose current album Born Under A Mad Sign was released a few weeks back through Rise Above Records, and local support coming from APF Records, by way of Stockport, sludgey noise rockers Under.

Hosted by Manchester promoters Riffolution who put on a hell of a night as the hot, sweaty and completely rammed venue was bouncing from the rafters making it a difficult night to shoot, but hey, that’s all part of the fun isn’t it? All three bands went down a storm and it’s been a while since I’ve had to dodge stage divers to protect my camera while EyeHateGod ripped through a colossal set of old and newer material, cementing their rightful place as legends of the sludge and doom underworld.
Now check out the photos from the night below…
