CONAN seem to be on the crest of a wave at the moment as not only do they have their 2nd album ‘Monnos‘ due out in March/April, an appearance at Roadburn 2012 after being invited to play the Au-delà du Réel curated by Voivod, and now they are being flown out to Norway by South Of Heaven Promotions to support the mighty SLEEP at the Betong venue in Oslo on the 5th May 2012, Josh Graham’s A STORM OF LIGHT are also playing making the 3 bill line up complete.
CONAN guitarist/vocalist Jon commented on being asked to support SLEEP…
“Many thanks to Jonas and his organisation for inviting us to this ceremony of unearthly tone and riffs. We shall cross through the yawning skies to the land of the Nord and place our sonic oblations at the feet of the weed priests – we can only hope our voice and our instruments are worthy.
We were meant to be playing Oslo during our tour in April but Jonas mentioned he had something pretty special up his sleeve. When we got the details, we were pretty taken aback that we were considered worthy of such a slot……. If you’re going to fly over to Norway for a one off gig as support of any band, you’d make it SLEEP wouldn’t you…….?”
