ASG, who released their Relapse Records’ debut Blood Drive in May, have premiered a video for Scrappy’s Trip. The video can be viewed below. The track is taken from the album Blood Drive, which was released this May via Relapse Records. The video features live performance footage of the North Carolinian quartet’s show at Ziggy’s in their home own of Wilmington.
ASG have been added to the line up for Desertfest London 2014 which will happen in London between 25th-27th April 2014; the line up also features Church of Misery, Master Musicians Of Bukkake and Monkey3 with more bands still to be announced. This date is in addition to their already confirmed appearance at Roadburn Festival 2014, which takes place in Tilburg, NL, between 10th -13th April. Label mates Locrian, Inter Arma, Lord Dying, True Widow, Windhand and -(16)- will also be performing at Roadburn. ASG’s next live outing is Dec. 4 as part of Scion A/V’s ongoing Scion Rock Show series in Los Angeles at The Satellite. Tickets can be confirmed HERE.
With the release of Blood Drive, ASG celebrated their highest charting and most critically acclaimed album to date. The twelve-song collection landed at #15 on Billboard’s Heat Seeker chart and was described by Revolver as “a catchy, melodic triumph of heavy music,” while Alternative Press asserted that “mentioning ASG in the same breath as riff-rockers Torche or Queens of the Stone Age is not only misleading, it might even be an understatement.” Blood Drive was produced by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Fu Manchu) and is available to purchase via the Relapse store, HERE, or on iTunes HERE.
