Video Premiere: Wolftooth ‘The Possession’ – Taken from ‘Valhalla’ That’s Out Now

As it’s been just over a year since the release of Wolftooth’s fist pumping, stoner metal and riff worship sophomore album Valhalla, which Liam stated in his review ‘Do you like chugging, palm-muted riffs? Melodic guitar breaks? Soaring choruses? If your answer to any or all of these is yes, then you’re in for a treat’, the band wanted to celebrate with a new video.

Wolftooth

Although we all enjoy an animated visual assault, that wasn’t Wolftooth’s ambition as due to the pandemic and lockdown restrictions, recording in a live setting simply wasn’t possible, that is until now. With the expert vision of Nicholas Xenos, who filmed and directed the footage, the band were finally able to gather to shoot the video for the track The Possession showcasing the four piece doing what they do best.

About the video Wolftooth comment, The Possession is such a strong opening track and we thought a video would be fun, so we got a few lights and stacked the Orange Amps. We released Valhalla when the world had to shut down and thought a video near the album’s anniversary would be a cool nod. We wanted to keep it all live performance shots throughout, which also ties into why we’re dropping it a year after the album release since we couldn’t play live around the album, but now here we are, the world is reopening and live activities are coming back, so it all comes together!’
