Premiere: Sorcia ‘Dusty’ – From New Album ‘Lost Season’, Releases 21st July via Desert Records

As Seattle, Washington State, stoner doom rock and metal power trio Sorcia prepare to release their new album, the smouldering five tracker Lost Season on the 21st July through the growing Desert Records, we at The Shaman are beyond stoked to bring you the new single in the form of the eight-minute journey that is Dusty.

About the track, the band say, Dusty is a song that was first revealed on the CD release of our Death By Design EP as a smokey, stripped down acoustic version of itself. This inception channeled its saturnine, brooding and slightly vulnerable side, but Dusty was always meant to be plugged in and turned up, showing its other side as a powerful and epic force.’

And conclude by adding, ‘We are pleased to finally share this heavier version on Lost Season, as it almost feels like a completely different song, yet it’s still very much the same.’

More On Sorcia & ‘Lost Season’

After releasing their debut album just days before the world shut down in March of 2020, things looked bleak for musicians as they were forced to stare into the unknown. During this dark time, Sorcia persevered by pouring themselves into songwriting, accomplishing not only the completion of a challenging EP, Death By Design, but also this brand new full-length they would reflectively come to name Lost Season.

This album is a continuance of their dynamic and heavy sound yet showcases a matured evolution in style with a new exploration of influences. Captured by Tad Doyle at Witch Ape Studio in Seattle, WA with original artwork by Mike Hawkins, Sorcia are pleased to be working with Desert Records to release Lost Season out into the world.

Sorcia have shared the stage with heavy hitters such as Orange Goblin, Hippie Death Cult, Kadabra, Telekinetic Yeti and many more. With each show, they prove they belong with the best and Lost Season has pushed their limits further.
