Premiere: Cachemira ‘Ambos Mundos’ – New Album Drops Tomorrow via Heavy Psych Sounds

If ‘70s trippy and fuzzed-out rock ‘n’ roll gets your blood pumping, then it’s time to sit up and take note of Cachemira. The power-trio are getting ready to drop their latest eight-track stormer of an album Ambos Mundos tomorrow through the always awesome Heavy Psych Sounds and as Liam said in his review that it, ‘simply defies you not to bang your head and reach for your imaginary air guitar’.

About the album, the band comments, ‘Recorded during spring of 2021 with our friend Baptiste, same engineer as our debut album Jungla. The tracklist has unreleased songs from the first line-up, and new songs composed during the COVID days, when Claudia joined to complete the band. Even though she is based in a different country than the rest of the band, we’ve been working from a distance.’

They continue, ‘The result of it is Ambos Mundos. You will find some interesting collabs from good friends on all the songs. Matt Sabbath was the artist chosen for the cover, painting over a live picture of our dear DenpaFuzz. Remember that this album has to be played loud!’

And today, it gives The Shaman cosmic pleasure to bring you this lesson in heavy blues ’70s retro rock ‘n’ roll in all its glory, so turn your volume up to the proverbial 11 and, as the band state, play it loud…

More On Cachemira & ‘Ambos Mundos’

Cachemira was born in Barcelona after many nights of jamming together in the summer of 2015. It was originally formed by Alejandro Carmona Blanco (Prisma Circus) on drums and Gastón Lainé (Brain Pyramid) on guitar, later joined by Pol Ventura on bass. The trio released their first single Jungla in 2017, and subsequently played across Europe before they went on hiatus in the summer of 2018.

When Covid hit, the band felt the urge to jam and reform, welcoming Claudia González Diaz on bass and vocals, which tenure and powerfully soulful vocals insufflate take their sound to a whole new level. The trio is now signed to Heavy Psych Sounds for the release of their new album Ambos Mundos in June 2022.
