Premiere: Gilded Form – Debut Self-Titled Album, Releases This Friday, 1st Dec, via Burning World

When you hear about a project of drone experimentation inspired by Earth along with Bohren & Der Club Of Gore that features Otto Kokke and Rene Aquarius from Dutch deviants Dead Neanderthals, who, for this special recording, have collaborated with guitarist Nick Millevoi, only a fool would ignore the sonics created within.

Going under the moniker of Gilded Form, the trio will unleash their Self-Titled long-player tomorrow, 1st December, through Burning World Records. And today, 24 hours prior to its release, we at The Shaman are elated to bring you the forty-minute track of drone and psych exploration in its entirety.

About the recording, Nick, Otto and Rene say, ‘A decade after our first collaborative release, Dietary Restrictions, we all realized we had something fresh to say together. As our new work started taking shape, we realized we weren’t just making a new record, we had formed a new band.’

They then add, ‘Where our previous recording was a frenetic live explosion, Gilded Form takes a much more considered approach. This time, the goal was to see how slow we could really go. Gilded Form combines our mutual love for Earth, Santana, and Bohren & Der Club Of Gore and solidifies them. We hope you enjoy the record just as much as we do. Keep it mellow!’

Dutch/American trio Gilded Form brings you the spiritual side of stoner/doom with their calm, introspective and minimal music ideal for pondering and reflection. Inspired by giants like Earth, early Santana and Bohren & der Club of Gore, their single-song, self-titled debut lifts up its listeners onto divine rays of grandeur into infinity.

Gilded Form is founded by members of internationally acclaimed underground bands such as Desertion Trio, Dead Neanderthals, Many Arms, MNHM, Plague Organ, Cryptae and Imperial Cult, and this album sees them embracing a vintage, psychedelic and drone sound stripped from superfluous instrumentation.
