Video Premiere: ORT ‘Heuvel’ – New Mini Album ‘Sperrwerk’ Drops 24th January 2025
As Germany’s ORT, the architects of immersive atmospheric drone and unsettling soundscapes, prepare to unleash Sperrwerk on 10” vinyl and accompanying CD through their spiritual home My Proud Mountain in January next year, today, today, it’s the Shaman’s absolute honour to share the haunting video for the first single Heuvel.
Created by Verena Gräler (aka Bruni mit V) is a visually arresting encounter that’s as dark and immersive as the music it represents. An audio and visual experience designed to pull you into the shadowy depths of their sonic abyss that blurs the line between dream and nightmare.

More On ORT & ‘Sperrwerk’
The playful rhythm section with a lot of punch carries an atmospheric guitar that is already meditatively indulging in melancholic moods.
The whole thing was captured in the recording studio with the band playing together live to convey their raw energy, something that many other production methods used today sometimes cannot do to such a degree.
The video was created by Verena Gräler (aka Bruni mit V), who can also be seen in it herself alongside the other actors Florian & Maximiliane Lütge-Varney.
Verena is the drummer of stoner rockers Elchgetüm, as well as a member of Aniyo Kore and is responsible for the visuals for both bands. However, ORT‘s Heuvel video clip is her first commissioned work for another band, so it will be interesting to see what more of her will be seen in the future.
ORT, the band that unites the Dortmund guitarist Hellmut Neidhart, known as the drone solo artist N with releases on Denovali Records and others, with a rhythm section that is tried and tested in various local sludge metal bands.
The current long-playing album Maschinenhafen was released in December last year on the My Proud Mountain label and was compared with Earth, Sleep, Melvins, Blind Idiot God, Mogwai and even Black Sabbath, among others in various music press releases.
