Are you ready to immerse yourself with electrifying sonics that will transport you to realms unknown and rhythms untamed? Then you’ve come to the right place as The Shaman is thrilled to bring you the first single from Italian post-doom trio Ainu, who will unleash their self-titled debut on the 28th June through Subsound Records.

The track is Khrono and throughout its epic eight and half minute runtime, you’ll be taken on a scintillating journey that traverses a post-metal, doom and psych landscape that’s aided and abetted by Francesco Bucci from Ottone Pesante on brass trombone and Giorgio Nattero from Carcharodon on lap steel.

As the band say, ‘There are no random events, everything is pre-established, everything is calculable’, so what else is there to add except click play below to experience the mind-melting explorations of Khrono…

More On Ainu And Their Self-Titled Debut

Ainu are a Genoese cinematic sludge/post-doom trio established in 2021. The project stems from the trio’s passion for cinema and their close relationship with the sea, its stories and the creatures that inhabit it.

Their self-titled debut album is a concept record that moves between powerful and stirring soundscapes, building up at a slow but steady pace between psychedelia and post-metal. An intense, dense and emotional experience that uses the descriptive foundations of seamen and the calls of huge animals to recall the connection between sound and the environment that composes it.
