‘Poison Apple’ gives a glimpse into their exciting dark melodic realm and fuzzorama enhanced tales of terror and horror.

Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats have, in recent times, become one of the most talked about rock bands currently in existence. Mind Control (their third full-length album) is set for release in April, following their two debut London sell-out concerts at The Garage. This single will be released the same week as those performances.

Mind Control is a concept album with a theme that makes the acts and intentions of the likes of Charles Manson and Jim Jones seem like petty crimes. What makes Mind Control scarier than most albums is that it doesn’t seem as sinister on the surface as it really is deep down within the core of its black acid-drenched world of pain and torture. It’s very easy to get carried away and lost in the magnificent heavy groovy sounds and psychedelic jams but don’t forget this UNCLE ACID HAS COME TO KILL!!

In related news, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats will make their live debut in mainland Europe when they bring their far-out psychedelic sounds to Roadburn 2013 as part of Jus Oborn‘s The Electric Acid Orgy at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland on Friday, April 19th.

Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats first sent shockwaves through the underground with the release of Vol. I, a slab of vinyl filled with heavy riffage, haunting refrains and shrouded in mystery. But it was the band’s second album, Blood Lust, which catapulted Uncle Acid to the fore of the burgeoning occult rock scene.

Released on Rise Above Records in 2011, the combination of catchy riffs, hypnotic beats, fuzzed out two-part vocal harmonies and vintage horror aesthetics quickly gained full-on cult status. By the end of the year, Uncle Acid was topping Roadburn festival wish lists and favorite album polls. The fact that the band had yet to tour made the need for a live gig all the more urgent.

Finally, the wait is over! Curated by Electric Wizard’s very own Jus Oborn, The Electric Acid Orgy promises to be the ideal setting for bringing the sights and sounds of Uncle Acid’s writhing hallucinatory rituals to the uninitiated. Join us for their first-ever show on these shores!
