File under ‘unmissable’, Temples Festival is an independent, sponsor-free, heavy music festival taking place in Bristol across May 2nd – 4th 2014, and even in its first year, it stands out on the calendar as the event everybody is getting excited about – and quite rightly so.
The festival is set within the heart of Bristol‘s industrial ‘Temples Quarter‘, a network of converted skateparks and warehouses, with a cobbled front courtyard and large outdoor riverside terrace – providing a unique backdrop for a weekend of heavy music.
With a host of artists, including Conan, Beastmilk, Doom, Jucifer, Moss, Satan’s Satyrs, Amenra, Blood Ceremony, A Storm Of Light, Wolfbrigade, Witchsorrow, The Secret, Repulsion, Brutal Truth‘s last ever UK show and not forgetting headliners Electric Wizard, Neurosis & Clutch.
Francis Mace, organiser of Temples Festival made the following statement…
“After initially launching Temples Festival in August 2013, we revealed the staunch quality of the line-up for our inaugural edition – which features the likes of Neurosis, Electric Wizard, Clutch, Brutal Truth‘s last ever UK performance, Doomriders, Repulsion, Wolfbrigade and around forty of the most prestigious names in contemporary heavy music.
As of March 2014, we are happy to announce that we are now sold out of Weekend Tickets leaving a limited number of Day Tickets (£35) available throughout the weekend, with sales reaching as far and wide as Brazil, Australia, Canada, South Africa & Russia – it’s fair to say the the underlying narrative & line-up for the weekend has been warmly received by the heavy music community across the globe.
Our agenda from the offset was to bring a well-programmed, independent, diverse, and specialist heavy music event to the South West of England – and having achieved specific targets outlined from the inception of Temples Festival, we are already well underway with Temples Festival 2015, in keeping with the quality of artists on offer at our 2014 edition we already have a number of prestigious international artists confirmed, and a host of exciting developments to be announced in the not too distant future……..
We’re expecting you……”
