Walter, Artistic Director of Roadburn commented on the 2012 Festival:
“It really means a lot to us after having gone to great lengths to make this amazing line-up happen in the face of numerous obstacles along the way. None of the previous editions of the festival have been this difficult to orchestrate.

For starters, we were unable to get all of the amazing cult bands we had in mind due to conflicting schedules or contract-related stalemates. Plus, we had to deal with the harsh reality that organizing feasible tours in Europe is currently very challenging. Despite various initial setbacks, however, Roadburn 2012 is shaping up nicely and promises to be another tremendous edition.

We are still grieving the tragic loss of 013′s general manager Guus van Hove. He guided us every step of the way in setting up the Roadburn Festival and he would have been very proud to see Roadburn tickets sell out so fast again. On a personal note: it’s tough not being able to talk to him about the pre-sales today.”
