Priestess Cancels Entire European Tour incl. Roadburn; Black Tusk Added As Replacement

Roadburn 2012 - Black Tusk

Roadburn are sorry to announce that Priestess have canceled their European tour for Spring 2012. This has the very regrettable result that the band will not play this years Roadburn Festival at Voivod‘s curated Au-delà du Réel event on Thursday, April 12th. Roadburn definitely felt bad about this and sympathize with any disappointment! Roadburn were looking forward to their show too, as they’re fans, just like us. However, neither Voivod nor Roadburn can prevent cancellations, no matter how much they want to.  It’s an unpleasant reality they have to deal with.

They do have some good news though. Savannah, Georgia’s finest, Black  Tusk, have been added as a replacement for Priestess, much to their pleasure. Black Tusk shake the earth with high octane riffing, sludgy, gritty grooves and abrasively yelled vocals, while walking a frenzied tightrope between the fury of punk and the precision of thrash metal. They balance their sound between a crazed energy and supreme tightness and do it all within a familiar Southern- fried landscape. Yes, their music is big and bold, as showcased on the Relapse Records releases Taste The Sin and Set the Dial a review of which you can read here as well as at their scorching live shows.

Dripping  with raw enthusiasm, and a foul-mouthed, head-down, blind-driving  fury, Black Tusk will definitely put a large boot into Roadburn‘s knickers. They’re up for it. Are you ready for Black Tusk‘s stomp? They won’t be offering any apologies!
