It is with regret that Walter & co have to announce that Lord Mantis will no longer be performing at Roadburn 2015. Having witnessed their incredible performance at the 2011 festival, Roadburn HQ were all really excited to have them perform at their 20th edition this coming April.
Sadly, the band are unable to make it over to Europe due to personal reasons; as a result, their performance at Roadburn and any shows around that will be cancelled. They wish love and strength to all involved in the band, and hope to be able to welcome Lord Mantis back to join them in Tilburg in the near future. Their latest album, Death Mask, released this year, has received repeated spins and high praise from them, so if you’re yet to check it out, they can’t recommend it enough.
The band issued a short statement on the cancellation: “Lord Mantis has unfortunately pulled out of their appearance at Roadburn 2015 in Tilburg. Currently all members of the band are focused upon other areas in their life, and it won’t become possible for everyone in this band to participate in festivals and tours for at least the first half of 2015. Our apologies to all involved with putting on this event, agencies in communication with us, and last but definitely not least all the fans of Lord Mantis across the globe.”
“The band will resume live appearances and recording a new album at a time the band deems appropriate. Until then, we hope our fans continue to enjoy our latest offering and keep on supporting us as we still have much more to show and create. All in good time. Thank you all – Lord Mantis.”
Lord Mantis were due to perform on Saturday 11th April 2015 at 013 venue, Tilburg as part of Roadburn Festival. The slot on the bill will now be filled by Akron, Ohio’s mighty Fistula.
