Resident Evil: ApocalypseResident Evil: Apocalypse - Sony Pictures - 2004

This pretty much starts off where the last film left us with resident wild -cat Alice up to here neck in flesh eating swine. The underground facility called 'The Hive' where the original movie plays out has once again been reopened in order to establish what had happened down there.....big mistake!! Ever heard the phrase 'curiosity killed the cat?' Well the General who ordered the opening should have bore this in mind as it leads to a fast moving contamination of now legendary Raccoon City.

A much more highly charged and bigger budget production than the previous movie as this is certainly not shy on big stunts and big action fight scenes. Some of the combat action moved so fast I found myself having trouble keeping track of what was happening, plus with Resident Evil: Apocalypse being set above ground and in a city, the arenas set for some 'kick ass' Hollywood type action scenes.

Not a bad film really, but I must confess to preferring the first one with the tight claustrophobic atmosphere 'The Hive' provided, parts of this are a little to 'action hero' for me.

Finally Matt the only other person to survive the Hive is present here, he’s bulked up a fair bit mind, it’s amazing what steroids can do.
