CreepCreep - Dan Films - 2005

A nice little British horror here set in the London Underground. On her way to an engagement and unable to get a taxi, Kate (the main character) heads for the underground. Drifting off to sleep while waiting for her train she awakes to find the platform deserted. Her train arrives not long after her stirring, she boards, unnerved at the fact she is the only passenger. The train pulls away from the platform and the film gets going.

The action takes place in the catacombs of the underground, old unused tunnels and sewage systems. There are some quiet creepy bits among the film with a lot of parts in just torch light (which reminded me of the Alone in the Dark computer game).

The Creep himself is pretty fucked-up, sorta like a mix of a young Jason and the Toxic Avenger. He performs his job of terror and murder with gusto.

All in all not a bad horror this one and director, Chris Smith’s first full length effort with his previous work being a couple of short films in the late 90’s. Probably worth keeping an eye on his future efforts.
