WOODEN SHJIPS: The Guardian Streams New Album ‘Back To Land’; New European Live Dates Added For 2014
With a week before the official release of psyche-modernists WOODEN SHJIPS‘ Back To Land on 11th November via Thrill Jockey Records, The Guardian are currently streaming the whole of the album exclusively a week before its release! Listen to Back To Land in it’s entirety RIGHT HERE.
Guitarist Ripley Johnson tells The Guardian: “For Back to Land, we decided to look back a little bit, to let our childhood influences, mostly classic rock, seep into the sound of the album. Part of that came from moving into a proper home for the first time in years, in a new city (Portland), and getting all of my old records out of storage. Something about winter in the northwest encourages self-reflection, introspection, so that played a bigger part in the process as well.”
WOODEN SHJIPS will also hit the road next month for a full UK / European throughout December with new dates added for February/March 2014.
