Magdalena Solis Confirmed For Roadburn Festival 2013
Named after the priestess of an obscure Mexican blood cult of the 1960’s, Belgium’s Magdalena Solis will bring their cinematic, psychedelic space rock and kosmische krautdrone to Roadburn Festival 2013 on Thursday, April 18th at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.
Heavily inspired by the films of Alejandro Jodorowsky, Magdalena Solis combine kaleidoscopic, sonic swells, both lush and unsettling at the very same time, with sinister Babylonian imagery. The duo’s heavily layered landscapes of swirling synths, grinding organs, exotic rhythms, clanking industrial noise, thick swaths of serious psych guitar and transcendental visuals / projections are as tripped out as the films that inspired them. Magdalena Solis‘ music shifts constantly from tranquil and dreamlike to blown out, heady and hypnotic by way of smoldering, slow build epics that leave you breathless and altered.

Roadburn Festival 2013 will run for four days from Thursday, April 18th to Sunday, April 21st, 2013 (the traditional Afterburner event) at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland. Tickets for the Afterburner are still available!
