John Baizley & Nate Hall To Perform At Sounds, Tilburg For Record Store Day; Exclusive ‘Songs Of Townes Van Zandt’ 10″ To Be Released
Roadburn are extremely excited to announce that John Baizley (Baroness), Nate Hall (U.S. Christmas) and Katie Jones will perform at Sounds Tilburg (NL) on International Record Store Day, Saturday, April 20th. The event starts at noon.
Roadburn Festival and My Proud Mountain are true vinyl junkies and jumped at the chance to support International Record Store Day by having John and Nate performing at Sounds, Tilburg’s finest independent record store.
Both Baizley and Hall will perform songs of Townes Van Zandt to coincide with the International Record Store Day release of John Baizley, Nate Hall, Steve Von Till & Scott Kelly – Songs of Towns Van Zandt, an exclusive 10-inch (limited to 600 copies) on My Proud Mountain.
This exclusive International Record Store Day 2013 10” includes four Townes Van Zandt songs from different releases: side A features one by John Baizley from the upcoming Songs Of Townes Van Zandt and an exclusive track by Nate Hall. Side B contains a song from Steve Von Till‘s ‘A Grave is A Grim Horse’ (released in 2008) and Scott Kelly‘s version of ‘St. John The Gambler.’
John Baizley recorded his songs of Towns Van Zandt together with Katie Jones, who will accompany him on viola at Sounds Tilburg.
