Japan’s SIGH To Play Afterburner At Roadburn 2013

Roadburn 2013 - Sigh

Time to start gearing up for Roadburn 2013! After announcing festival headliners Godflesh and Electric Wizard at the outset of the 2012 festival, and Roadburn can now start unfolding the full line up as it falls into place and they are truly thrilled to be able to announce that  maniacal power / prog / thrashers / black metallers Sigh will be playing Roadburn‘s Afterburner on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.

Sigh have been shocking and confusing music fans since 1990, when they started their existence as one of the first black metal bands to ever come out of Japan. Their sound has been evolving ever since, first incorporating bizarre psychedelic elements and strangely juxtaposed song parts, then adding more styles and technical proficiency. On their latest record In Somniphobia from earlier this year, they offer up progressive power metal with supreme technical chops and a penchant for speed matched only by their ability to deliver the unexpected.

They are a perfect band for the Afterburner show because no matter how strange the bands are in the first three days of the festival, Sigh will offer up something unseen and unheard before.

Roadburn Festival 2013 will run for four days from Thursday, April 18th to Sunday, April 21st, 2013 (the traditional Afterburner event) at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.
