FUOCO FATUO Stream Debut Album ‘The Viper Slithers In The Ashes Of What Remains’

Fuoco Fatuo

Today, The Sleeping Shaman is proud to be premiering rising ultra-doom heavyweights FUOCO FATUO‘s debut album ‘The Viper Slithers In The Ashes Of What Remains‘ which is set to be released by Iron Tyrant on February 17th for the CD version and March 31st for the gatefold vinyl version.

After two EPs and countless gigs – including support slots for Evoken, Necros Christos, Eyehategod, Grave Miasma, Abysmal Grief, Iskra, Ash Borer, Fell Voices, Thantifaxath, and many more – Italy’s darkest and heaviest power trio FUOCO FATUO finally shaped their first full-length, which Shaman scribe Kevin commented about in his recent review (here) “Cavernous, harrowing death doom metal. That is how I would describe this five faced abomination in the face of God. A blood encrusted jewel, waiting to be admired by the masses of those that still find pleasure in this old way of spreading malice and evil in death metal“.

Now press play below to get lost in the grimness of ‘The Viper Slithers In The Ashes Of What Remains‘…

Fuoco Fatuo 'The Viper Slithers In The Ashes Of What Remains' Artwork

Risen amongst the ghastly lakes in the deep north of the Italian countryside, FUOCO FATUO soon established themselves a reputation as a brilliant band, both on record and in live performances. The eerie elements that made their demo EPs so special have been further cloaked in unheard heaviness, anxiety and DOOM on The Viper Slithers In The Ashes Of What Remains. If this wasn’t enough for you to slice your wrists, the artwork from up-and-coming artist Raoul accentuates the listener’s despair and furthers his “todessehnsucht.”
