FLOOR Premiere New Track ‘War Party’ On Roadburn.com
The recently reunited & widely-respected underground heavy rockers FLOOR are now officially back and today, Roadburn is very pleased to present a brand new track from these legendary stoner rockers. ‘War Party’ is taken from Floor‘s forthcoming debut album, Oblation, which will be released in Europe on April 25th through Season Of Mist.
Oblation picks up where Floor left off more than ten years ago. Adding a dose of doom and a dash of drone, the new album crushes with a powerful production. Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou mixed the album at GodCity Studios, and the mastering was done by Alan Douches. FLOOR was originally formed by Brooks and Vialon in 1992, and issued singles on respected underground punks labels like No Idea, Bovine, Rhetoric and more. The band released their wildly influential self-titled full-length album in 2002, before splitting. Brooks went on to form another critically-acclaimed band: TORCHE, while Wilson formed DOVE.
