Dutch Psyche Experimentalists HET DROSTE EFFECT Release Debut Album ‘SOAR’

Het Droste Effect

After three EP’s (S/T, Lingerland and We Are All Hallucinating) and a steadily growing attention in and around the psych scene, Eindhoven based HET DROSTE EFFECT have finally delivered their debut full length album, simply entitled SOAR.

It’s a dark, trancy album, almost stripped from riffs and solo’s but heavy and psyched out nonetheless. The recording duo invited only one musician for this one: Edward Capel, who plays the baritone saxophone on the closing song Sandra Eats The Sunshine. HET DROSTE EFFECT is Thompson Dube on drums and percussion and Hermann Blaupunkt on guitar, bass and synth. The entire album was also recorded at his analogue studio Casa Cassette.
