CASTLE Premieres ‘Pyramid Lake’; Band Currently On Tour In Europe

Castle

Heavy metal cultists CASTLE will release their third album, Under Siege, in Europe via Ván Records on May 16. The eight-track release was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, Calif. with producer Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis), with whom they previously collaborated on their acclaimed Juno-nominated 2012 release Blacklands.

Pyramid Lake, the second single from the album is streaming now thanks to Music & Riots Magazine HERE and in the video below.

The band comments on the track, “We’re excited to unleash the next single from Under Siege. This was one of the first tracks written for the album and along with Temple of the Lost is one of the cornerstones of the record musically. The lyrics are inspired from an old Indian legend of Pyramid Lake near where we live in Northern California. The story goes the people of the tribe that lived around the lake would offer newborns to appease the serpent mother, the possessed spirit of the lake. It started from that and we put our own spin on it… I think the music adds to the story and helps weave the wickedness in a not-so-subtle way.”
